‘Beat Saber’ Introduces Eminem’s Houdini in New ‘Shock Drop’ Feature
The popular rhythm game Beat Saber has unveiled a new content initiative called ‘Shock Drops’, providing a fresh way to experience new music. The first track to be featured is Houdini by Eminem.
Houdini, from Eminem’s latest album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), has amassed over 138 million views on YouTube and 340 million plays on Spotify. In the announcement, Meta mentioned that incorporating Houdini into Beat Saber was an obvious choice to “wrap up brat summer.”
This track is released alongside an updated version of the Hip Hop Mixtape environment, which was initially launched in April. This environment featured prominent artists such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, The Notorious B.I.G., and 2Pac.
The Shock Drops, including Houdini, will be accessible across all supported platforms like Quest, PSVR 2, and PC VR. Fans can purchase these tracks for $2 each in the new game section labeled ‘Shock Drops’.
It’s important to note that Houdini, like the Hip Hop Mixtape tracks, is uncensored, so it won’t be available for users with parent-managed Meta accounts.
